Bullace Butter
Bullace butter is a fruit paste made of a rare wild plum only found in limited hedgerows and woodlands in the UK. It is described as ‘the only truly English plum’ in The Plums of England written in 1949.
It has been hand foraged and hand made by Trish Maunder and we are proud to be the only stockist in the UK selling this unique and delicious product.
A little goes a long way as is intensely fruity and rich. We have tried it with many cheeses and it brings out different qualities in each cheese: with goats cheese it has flavours reminiscent of Christmas cake; with blue cheese there were notes of chocolate.
It is one of a kind and in highly limited supply.
