About Quinta de Val da Figueria:
Located on the right bank of Portugal’s famous Douro River near Pinhao, this five hectare vineyard has been in the same family for three generations with the next generation, João’s youngest daughter Marta, coming up through the ranks.
The Port is made in the traditional way, hand harvested and foot trodden in stone lagers. All wines are aged and bottled on the estate. The whole process takes place under the watchful eye of the legendary João Hoelzer Calem.
