An unpasteurised goat cheese, handmade in East Sussex by Kevin and Alison Blunt.
Bright and zesty when young, this cheese develops complex, nutty flavours as it ripens and has a dense, creamy texture.
Kevin and Alison have a small herd of about 230 mixed breed goats (British Saanen, Toggenburg and British Alpine) and use only their raw milk to make the Golden Cross. The goats graze outside on the farm from Spring through to Autumn, a surprisingly unusual practice on UK dairy goat farms!
